Developer Meetup – Wednesday May 18

This month we were lucky enough to hear from two of our members who are going to be presenting at WordCamp Europe next month.

Gary Pendergast, an Automattician working on WordPress core, gave us a sneak peek at a new proposal being put forward to connect all WordPress sites together into an Open Platform, for social, sharing and security.

Peter Wilson walked us through a case study on frontend optimization.

User Meetup – Wednesday May 10

Our user meetup this month was all about Learning Management Systems.

Amelia Briscoe showed us the basics of using WordPress as a LMS, including how to integrate it with marketing automation and email marketing.

User Meetup – Wednesday May 4

Anthony Hortin gives us a demo of the Beaver Builder plugin. This is one of the many “Page Builder” plugins that are currently out there and allows you to easily build professional looking sites with an easy to use, drag-n-drop interface.
